Arrest after car break-ins
A 30-year-old man was arrested after cars were broken into at Sprotbrough earlier this week.
A member of the public reported seeing a group of men behaving suspiciously in the Crompton Avenue area in the early hours of Tuesday (9).
A police spokesman said: “It is reported that the men were trying car door handles.”
Officers are seeking to trace the owner of one of two recovered sat-navs.
The spokesman added: “If you’re a motorist in the area, check your vehicles and glove compartments and if your system is missing, please call Doncaster CID on 101 quoting incident number 99 of August 9.”
Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area this week is urged to call 101, quoting the same incident number.
The man held this week was bailed pending further inquiries.
