Call for Isle businesses to support first aid training in schools
Businesses in Lincolnshire are being asked to help build a generation of first aiders in the region with St John Ambulance.
Any business booking a three-day first aid at work, a two-day first aid requalification course or a one-day emergency first aid at work training course for eight or more employees will earn a free five-hour First Aid in a Day course for up to 30 students at the school of their choice.
This offer is limited to 300 schools in England and to qualify businesses must book their course before 23 December 2016.
St John Ambulance is the UK’s leading first aid charity, and any surplus profits from its workplace training courses directly fund its charitable activities.
John Cavanagh Director of Workplace and Community Training for St John Ambulance said: “The money we make from our workplace training courses has always gone towards funding St John Ambulance’s charitable initiatives, such as teaching first aid in schools or community training courses for hard to reach groups.
“Now, for the first time, businesses and organisations have the opportunity to support a local school of their choice with free first aid training for a class of students, and it won’t cost the school a penny. It’s a great way of passing on the baton of first aid training to the next generation, as we believe you are never too young to learn life saving skills.”
