Child Sex Offender From Sheffield Gets Eighteen Years
A man, aged 66, has been given a jail sentence of 18 years after he admitted to numerous child sexual offences against a young girl from Sheffield.
Neil Kelley from Thornbridge Grove attended Sheffield Crown Court for sentencing when he pleaded guilty to the fourteen offences at a hearing that he went to earlier. Police had been called when the victim aged eight, who cannot be named, told about a string of sexual abuse at the hands of Kelley.
The investigating officer said that there were no words to describe what the young girl had been put through and he went on to say that only time would tell whether the string of abuse would have any lasting effects.
The length of the sentence imposed on Kelley revealed the magnitude along with the severity of the offences and the investigating officer went on to say that he hoped the family got some reassurance knowing that he was going to be behind bars for a long time.
