Man in life-threatening condition following collision in Doncaster
A 29-year-old man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision in Balby (Saturday, 6 August). At around 5.45am, a black Vauxhall Corsa and a black BMW 520d, both travelling in the direction towards Hexthorpe, were involved in a collision on Balby Carr Bank, which resulted in a further collision between the BMW and the 29-year-old male pedestrian.
The man was immediately taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. The 44-year old man driving the BMW and a 27-year-old passenger both sustained minor injuries.
The BMW driver was also arrested on suspicion of driving over the prescribed limit. The 47-year-old woman driving the Corsa and two passengers, a man and a woman, suffered minor injuries.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the incident, to please get in touch with police by calling 101 and quoting incident number 272 of 6 August 2016.
