Rapist In Sheffield Branded Nasty And Dangerous By Police
A rapist from Sheffield attacked and filmed his attack on a mobile phone is said to be nasty and dangerous by police who investigated the case. Amadu Bangura from Broomhall raped the woman in December.
Bangura recorded footage of the women screaming for him to stop the attack and in tears while she was being held. Bangura had denied the offence and claimed that the sex was consensual and then changed his plea at the last moment before he was to stand trial.
Bangura was jailed for 10 years and the judge said that the rape had been truly shocking and that the victim had been begging him to stop through the whole ordeal. Bangura had been brought into the UK illegally by someone who was going to harvest his organs if he was found to be a donor. When he has served half of his sentence he will be deported.
The woman was said by police to be very brave to have come forward with the report straight after it happened. Bangura was said to have made friends with the women over months but then abused that friendship with her by raping her in her own house. He even went as far as filming the attack, which caused her even more distress. The detective constable went on to say that he was happy that the women had not had to go through a trial.
He said that Bangura is going to be deported to Sierra Leone, which is where he comes from. The detective said that he was nasty and dangerous and he will remain behind bars for a long time.
