Reward Offered For Return Of Vintage Lambretta Stolen In Sheffield
A reward of £500 is being offered from the return of a vintage Lambretta that was stolen in Sheffield. John Kingan aged 60 from Priory Road in Nether Edge has been left gutted after his scooter was stolen from outside his home.
The thief was said to have used bolt cutters to release the scooter from the chain it was tied up with and which kept the bike anchored to the ground at the back of the flat in which the man lives.
John had purchased the scooter in1979 and it is a rare model that was built in Italy and was only produced for three years between 1969 and 1971. It is thought that there are not that many of them around still in good condition. The bike had been used when filming the TV series, This Is England.
John parked the bike on May 25 at about5pm and it had gone when he went for it the next day. The scooter in question is a Lambretta GP200 and has the registration number HHD34J.
Police are asking for anyone with any information to call 101.
