South Yorkshire Police close road following discovery of seriously injured man
A police probe is underway following the discovery of a seriously injured man in Rotherham.
The 19-year-old was found with serious head injuries close to the Stag roundabout, Wickersley yesterday.
Officers investigating the circumstances around his injuries have cordoned off part of Brecklands.
They believe he may have walked up Wickersley Road with a group of between three and six men before he sustained his injuries.
He is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Detectives have launched an investigation after a 19-year-old man was seriously injured in Rotherham this morning.”The man was found with serious head injuries close to the Stag Roundabout, Brecklands, at about 6.45am and was taken to hospital, where he currently remains in a serious but stable condition.”
